A small unincorporated community, Dockton sits on Maury Island which is connected to Vashon via an isthmus that locals built in the early 1900’s. Previously an important ship building center thanks to its proximity to Quartermaster Harbor, Dockton was the first major settlement on Maury Island.
Waterfront homes in Dockton typically have their own moorage, but it is also possible to launch from Dockton Park, a popular swimming beach. There is also the Dockton Forest nearby, offering 152 acres of natural park with shoreline.
Dockton is about a 12 mile drive to the Vashon Island Ferry Terminal.
