Burton is a historical residential section of Vashon Island on the Burton Peninsula that offers grand views of the Puget Sound, Mt. Rainier and the Cascade mountain chain as well as convenient access to Burton Acres, a 64-acre conservancy park. Here you can find beautiful hiking trails as well as horseback riding towards Jensen Point.
Burton is about 15 minutes to the main ferry terminal on Vashon Island for easy access back to Seattle but there are plenty of amenities within Burton as well from the Burton Coffee Stand as well as the longest continually operated store on Vashon Island – Harbor Mercantile. There are also multiple other stores on Vashon Island in addition to the Vashon Island Farmers Market.
Burton also offers some of the best waterfront homes on Vashon Island, with some offering Inner Quartermaster Harbor views with low bank moorage.
