Originally called Eden Hill, this neighborhood sits 456 feet over the city center and Puget Sound. While the hill is now fully developed with beautiful homes with expansive views, it was one of the last neighborhoods in the city to be developed because of the steep hills. It wasn't until electric streetcars were installed in 1902 that homes started popping up on the hill. The Queen Anne style of home was popular at this time, resulting in several being built at the same time and hence the name.
