Looking for a good Christmas lights display, you should check out the Olympic Manor Christmas Lights! Olympic Manor is a 350 home community built on an old golf course in northern Ballard. With sweeping views of the sound and Olympics, the community is built with the terrain in mind to maximize views for all homeowners. This special community has also taken it upon itself to put on one of the best holiday displays year after year. Most of the homeowners decorate their front yards, homes and even cars with light chains, lanterns and sculptures.
As soon as dusk falls in the neighborhood, Seattleites from all over town descend to the neighborhood to see the Olympic Manor Christmas Lights. It can be a little difficult to find parking but I recommend walking through the neighborhood as opposed to driving to really enjoy the displays.
Built in the 1950’s the neighborhood features a lot of mid-century modern homes with a mix of single-story, split- level and two-story homes. Olympic Manor is also known for having tree height covenants to protect the views of all residents. On top of the annual Olympic Manor Christmas Lights display, the neighborhood has a two day community-wide garage sale that draws large crowds. If you would like to see what is currently for sale in the neighborhood, I have a page on my website dedicated to Olympic Manor. You can discover listings, track trends and schedule tours here. Homes typically do not stay on the market very long in Olympic Manor so be sure to be active in your search. If you would like to set up notifications or need help getting pre-approved I would be happy to assist you.
I hope you enjoy the Olympic Manor Christmas Lights display and wish you & your family a Happy Holidays!
